The gospel of Jesus opposes Idolatry.
- There is a two fold challenge to this text - what is the idolatry that you need to reject for the sake of the kingdom? Does your life, your faith, does it rub this world the wrong way?
- Its both interesting and important that it isn’t Paul specifically that is causing the stir here in Ephesis - it is the Christians - the movement of the gospel in all of these people.
